HARVEST

The 2016 harvest is well underway. My husband has been busy this week combining corn. Hopefully he will finish up this week. I just love harvest time. I made a huge pot of home made Chicken Vegetable soup with home baked corn bread and had it ready for dinner last night when he came in for the evening.

  1. Fall is such a wonderful season! Your homemade chicken soup looks delicious and served with homemade corn bread sure makes for hearty meal on a chilly fall day! Hope your hubby gets all the field work done, we're expecting snow flurries and freezing rain tomorrow before turning over to rain through the weekend here in Central NY. A good time to get my soup pot out, too! Thanks for sharing.
    Blessings,

  3. I always loved harvest time on my grandparents farms. It was the time when my grammas would start baking and their farmhouses would smell yummy! We had chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwiches last night. Yours looks tasty too! Tonight we have a rain and snow mix...not looking forward to this. Janice
